Who we are

A Cirebon Furniture Factory That Owns Every Step of Production

MPP Furniture is the export brand of CV. Mulya Pratama Putra, a family-run manufacturer operating a 16,000 m² facility on Ki Natagama Street, Cirebon — the historic centre of Indonesia’s solid wood furniture industry. Since 2005 we have supplied retail chains, importers, wholesalers, interior studios and hospitality projects across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and South America.

Because timber selection, kiln drying, machining, joinery, weaving, finishing, quality control and container loading all happen under our own roof, we control the two things buyers care about most: repeatable quality and predictable shipping dates. Nothing critical is subcontracted to unknown workshops.

  • Kiln drying before cutting, not after

Timber is dried to a 8–12% moisture content window matched to your destination climate, which is why our panels behave in dry-heated European homes and humid coastal markets alike.

  • Documented QC at four gates

Incoming timber, post-machining, pre-finishing and pre-packing. Each gate has a photo record, so deviations are caught before a container is booked.

  • Designs that stay yours

Exclusive models developed with a buyer are produced for that buyer only — they never enter our open catalogue.

Where Creation Begins

Graded, kiln-dried teak boards stacked and rested before machining. Grain direction and colour are matched at this stage, not corrected at finishing.

Finished by Hand, Checked by Hand

Progressive sanding to 240 grit, then hand-feel inspection on every edge and radius before oil, stain or lacquer is applied.

Manufacturing capability

More Than a Furniture Factory — A Production Partner

From first sketch to sealed container, we handle the technical work that usually slows an import programme down.

Fully In-House Production

Sawmill intake, kiln drying, CNC and manual machining, weaving, upholstery, finishing and packing on one site — fewer handovers, fewer surprises.

OEM, ODM & Private Label

Your drawings or our development. Brand labelling, custom hang tags, barcoded cartons and retail-ready assembly instructions are all supported.

Free Product Development

Send a brief, reference photo or CAD file. We return technical drawings, material options and a costed prototype at no development charge (terms apply).

Export-Ready Logistics

FOB Semarang or Jakarta, mixed-container planning, fumigation, ISPM-15 pallets and full document sets: invoice, packing list, B/L, V-Legal, COO.

Material guidance

Choosing the Right Indonesian Hardwood for Your Programme

A quick reference our buyers use when balancing landed cost, durability and target retail price.

Indicative comparison based on our own production experience. Density and stability vary by log source and construction.
Species Best suited to Key strength Relative cost
Plantation Teak Outdoor dining, patio lounge, garden benches, marine-adjacent projects Natural oils and tight grain resist rot, insects and UV greying without chemical treatment Premium
Mahogany Indoor dining tables, cabinets, bedroom sets, classic and colonial styling Even grain that takes deep stains and high-gloss or matt lacquer beautifully Mid–high
Sungkai Scandinavian and Japandi interiors, light-toned dining and living ranges Pale, straight grain with good workability — a strong alternative to imported ash Mid
Mindi Volume retail SKUs, painted finishes, occasional and accent furniture Light, stable and cost-efficient for programmes with tight price architecture Entry–mid
Natural & Synthetic Weave Accent chairs, bed heads, storage baskets, mixed-material collections Hand-woven texture that differentiates a range without adding tooling cost Varies

Need a species recommendation for a specific climate or price point? Our team reviews your target retail price and destination market before quoting — see our service scope or compare teak, mahogany, sungkai and mindi in detail.

How we work

From Brief to Sealed Container in Five Controlled Stages

A transparent workflow with named checkpoints, so you always know what happens next and who signs it off.

  1. Brief & Feasibility

We review drawings, target price, destination market and volume, then flag any construction or timber risk before quoting.

  2. Drawing & Prototype

Technical drawings, finish panels and a physical sample. Development of new models is free of charge under agreed terms.

  3. Pre-Production

Timber grading, kiln drying to 8–12% MC, jig preparation and a signed golden sample that becomes the QC benchmark.

  4. Production & QC

Line production with four inspection gates and progress photo reports so you can plan marketing and stock intake.

  5. Packing & Export

Carton or crate packing, load plan optimisation, container stuffing photos and a complete document set including V-Legal.

Markets & compliance

Shipping to Buyers Who Are Audited Too

Our regular destinations include the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Chile. Many of those buyers are themselves subject to timber-legality and product-safety audits, so our paperwork is built to survive that scrutiny.

  • SVLK / V-Legal per shipment

Indonesia’s mandatory timber legality system underpins EUTR and Lacey Act due diligence with shipment-level traceability.

  • Finish and safety specifications

Water-based, oil and NC finishing systems selected to match your market’s VOC and labelling expectations, plus US law labels for upholstered goods.

  • Packing tested for long transit

Corner protection, moisture barriers, fumigation and ISPM-15 pallets where required — reducing transit damage claims on 30–45 day sea freight.

Buyer questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for custom furniture?
For catalogue models we typically start from 20–30 pieces per model. For fully custom or private label programmes we plan around a mixed 20ft or 40ft container, and most buyers combine 4–8 models to reach an efficient load. We will tell you honestly if a request is below a workable threshold.
How long does production take after sample approval?
Standard lead time is 45–75 days from signed sample approval, depending on species, finishing system and volume. Kiln drying is completed before cutting, so the schedule we quote already includes moisture stabilisation rather than adding it later.
Is the timber legal and traceable?
Yes. We operate under SVLK, Indonesia’s mandatory Timber Legality Assurance System, and issue V-Legal documents per shipment. This supports EUTR and US Lacey Act due diligence and gives your customs broker a traceable file back to the licensed source.
Can you produce from my drawings or a reference photo?
Yes. Our drafting team converts sketches, CAD files or reference images into technical drawings and a physical prototype. Development of new models is free of charge under agreed terms, and exclusive designs are produced only for the buyer who commissioned them.
Do you support mixed containers and multiple categories?
We do. Indoor, outdoor and craft items are produced on the same site, so a single container can combine dining, lounge and basket SKUs. Our load planners optimise cube usage so you are not shipping air.
Can we visit the factory or arrange a third-party inspection?
Buyers are welcome at our Cirebon facility, and we routinely host third-party inspectors and social-compliance auditors. If you cannot travel, we provide dated photo and video reports at each QC gate.
